Master Of The Guild

PLEASE DO NOT SEND APPLICATIONS - CLOSED

Qualification

As well as a Diploma of Master of the Guild you will be entitled to use the letters "MGMG" after your name and registered as such with the Guild.

Whilst this is NOT a recognised qualification it will illustrate the hard work that you have done to become a Master of the Guild.

If you are already a Luthier either working in the industry or in teaching etc. you can apply to become a Master of the Guild immediately without working through the Grades.

You must become a Member of the Guild.

On completing Grades 1, 2 & 3 you will become a Master of the Guild or see the requirements for instant approval if you are already a Luthier working in this field.

This will enable you to mention this in all your communications, advertising, vehicle graphics etc and use the Guild Crest. You will also be entitled to use the letters "MGMG" after your name.

You will also if you desire be listed in the Masters Of The Guild page in the Members area together with a link to your website. This will be ideal for Members to contact you, see your goods and services and maybe ask a question or two.

In addition you can apply to become an assessor of course work for the Guild if needed. This is voluntary and will show your commitment to this Art.

You will also be expected to become a Mentor in the three main Groups time permitting.

SUBSCRIPTION

On becoming a Member of the Guitar Makers Guild there is an annual subscription of £25 which initially includes undertaking Grade 1.

You will have 28 days after the due date in which to pay your annual subscription after which, if not renewed, your Membership will cease and you will be removed from the Guild and all benefits cancelled.

No reminders will be sent.
